The Pennsylvania Game Commission is allowing certain professionals to help pick up road-killed deer.
The commission approved a measure that gives nuisance wildlife control operators the ability to pick up deer from roadways and private properties.
Previously, the Game Commission and Department of Transportation handled the calls. They would then reach out to wardens or private contractors to then take care of the deer.
The Game Commission says this gives residents another option to help dispose of the dead deer in a more timely fashion.
