The Butler Township Police department arrested a fugitive from Mexico in Butler on Thursday afternoon.
According to the police report 39-year-old Fidel Monrroy was wanted by the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina for criminal sexual conduct with a minor, which is a 3rd degree felony. Butler Twp police received information that Monrroy was spotted in the area of New Castle Road and Shockey Lane. A search of the area resulted in the capture of Monrroy.
He was lodged in the Butler County Prison on a $250,000 cash bond to await extradition to South Carolina, where he will also have to address immigration and customs enforcement issues.
