A misprint on ballots for the 2017 Farm Service Agency county committee election will result in corrected ballots being mailed in January.
Some farmers and ranchers in Beaver, Butler and Allegheny counties may have received ballots that said the election was closing on Dec. 4 but that is not the case.
Corrected ballots will be mailed on Jan. 5, 2018 and must be returned by Feb. 2. Ballots received before Dec. 4 will not be counted.
FSA county committee members use their knowledge and judgment to help the agency make important decisions about community programs. Producers who participate in an FSA program are eligible to vote.
