Local emergency responders were busy with multiple accidents around the Butler County area Friday.
A portion of North Main Street was closed in both directions for several hours following a Friday morning accident. Just before 4 a.m. a tree uprooted near the intersection at West Pearl Street and fell on top of a pickup truck. The man in the truck was able to escape without injury and the road has since reopened.
Crews also responded to two accidents on Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township. Around 6:30 a.m. an overturned vehicle was reported near Cemetery Road. Another call came in ten minutes later for a school bus involved in an unrelated accident. No students were on the bus at that time.
Finally, just after noon, a single vehicle crash was reported on Chicora Road in Donegal Township. A motorist reportedly went over an embankment and into a tree. The severity of injury is not known at this time.
