Freeport high school golfer Audrey Dougherty finished sixth at the PIAA tournament in York Tuesday. She finished with a two-day total of 172. Greensburgh Central Catholic’s Olivia Zambruno won the state title for the second consecutive year. Zambruno had a two-day total of 153 and won by 10 strokes.

Seneca Valley will face Peters Township tonight in the Triple-A quarterfinals in Canonsburg at 8pm.
Mars will host Waynesburgh tonight at 8pm in the Double-A quarterfinals.

The Slippery Rock University women’s soccer team defeated Seton Hill 2-1 Tuesday. The win clinches Slippery Rock’s sixth consecutive PSAC Tournament berth and improves its record to 11-5-1 overall and 10-4-1 in league play.
