Work on Freedom Road in Cranberry Township continues today.
PennDOT announced that this is phase two of the Freedom Road project that began last year.
So far the $9.8 million project has added turning lanes, new lighting, sidewalks, and other safety improvements.
Officials say to expect short term traffic control throughout the day and into evenings and weekends.
The project is expected to be completed by this fall.
