An annual local event to support homeless veterans as well as encourage physical activity is scheduled for Wednesday.
VA Butler Healthcare is hosting the seventh annual VA 2K Walk and Roll outside the VA Butler Auditorium starting at 11 a.m. and continuing until 3 p.m.
The free event will begin with stretching instructed by VA Butler’s Leadership Team and the Butler County American Legion Riders. There will also be live, local music and a low cost lunch for everyone who would like to attend.
According to VA Butler Healthcare’s Director David Cord, last year VA Butler won a national award for most participants for this sized facility. This local event is just one of about 200 events taking place at VA facilities across the country.
