Those traveling and shopping in downtown Butler this holiday season can enjoy free parking in some areas beginning next week.
Starting on Sunday, Dec. 17 and continuing through Jan. 1, parking will be free at all street meters, according to Butler Mayor Tom Donaldson.
Drivers are reminded to continue to obey all posted parking regulations, including residential-only parking and the two-hour time limit in some areas. You will still have to pay to park in the city garages.
