The Pittsburgh Pirates snapped a seven-game losing streak last night when Adam Frazier hit a walk-off, two-run home run for a 6-4 victory at PNC Park last night. The hit came off Milwaukee closer Corey Knebel who had a streak of 21 consecutive saves. The Pirates put together three runs in the eighth and ninth innings for the comeback victory. Pirates starter Stephen Brault allowed two runs on four hits over five innings. He was relieved by Tyler Glasnow, who did not allow a hit in 1-1/3rd innings, but allowed two runs and walked four.
The Pirate victory kept the Brewers 3-1/2 behind the Chicago Cubs and one game behind the Colorado Rockies for the final National League Wild Card. The Cubs and Rockies also lost last night. The Brewers host the Cubs for a four-game series beginning tonight.
The Bucs are off today and host St. Louis for three games beginning Friday night.
