The Pittsburgh Pirates have mutually parted ways with team president Frank Coonelly.
The organization announced the decision earlier this morning, with owner Bob Nutting saying that it was clear a change in day-to-day leadership was needed.
Coonelly had served as the team’s president since 2008. Nutting said his replacement would be announced next Monday.
