The game of golf in Foxburg traces its rich history all the way back to Scotland’s St. Andrews.
Founded in 1887, Foxburg Country Club today holds title to the oldest continually operating course in the United States.
Plans for the renovation and historic preservation of the course will be presented this Saturday evening by Ron Forse, a leading national golf course historian and architect, who sees the project as an economic and environmental benefit to the entire region.
The presentation begins at 6 p.m. Saturday in the historic log clubhouse at Foxburg Country Club.
