It’s that time of year again for the 45th annual Fort Armstrong Folk Festival.
The festival begins Thursday and runs through Sunday at Kittanning’s Riverfront Park.
The festival will feature arts and crafts, horse and carriage rides, local bands, solo vocalists, blacksmith demonstrations and great food.
“There’s truly something for everyone here, young and old, male and female,” says Jessica Coil, the festival’s executive director. “Some people come for the arts and crafts, some come for the entertainment, and everyone comes for the food.”
If you would like to burn off some of that food, there is a Saturday morning 5K beginning at 8 a.m.
Glory on High Fireworks will launch a display from the Allegheny River at 10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6.
