A doctor with local connections has been promoted within the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Dr. Timothy Burke will serve as the new Chief Medical Officer of VISN 4, which includes most of Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Burke was previously chief of staff for VA Butler Healthcare and also served as VA Butler’s interim director.
Dr. Burke will oversee delivery of healthcare to over 320,000 veterans with an annual operating budget of nearly $3 billion dollars.
