Former Pittsburgh Steelers guard Alan Faneca is one of the 15 finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame for the second consecutive year. Former wide receiver Hines Ward did not make the final list.
Two western Pennsylvania natives made the final list with Faneca. Woodland Hills defensive end Jason Taylor and cornerback Ty Law of Aliquippa are final nominees. The 2017 class will be chosen February 4th in Houston.
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin announced Tuesday that defensive lineman Stephon Tuitt will return from injury for the Wild Card playoff game against Miami. Wide receiver Sammie Coates will also be available. Tomlin said tight end Ladarius Green remains in concussion protocol, but will return to practice today.
