Three former Slippery Rock students are each seeking $70,000 in damages, after a lawsuit filed by a former SRU professor claiming that the students were responsible for his termination was dismissed.
Madison Harris, of Georgetown; Aran Bybee, of Lebanon; and Connie Lemke of Illinois claim that their former computer science professor Yili Tseng of Virginia, abused the legal process.
Tseng filed a suit two years ago arguing that evaluations done by those students led to his termination. The suit was dismissed and his petition to file an appeal was denied.
The students are seeking $45,000 for punitive damages, $20,000 legal fees, and $5,000 emotional harm.
SRU is not a party in the suit.
