Jacob Wilson, the son of former Pirate Jack Wilson has been called up to the majors by the Oakland Athletics. Wilson is considered the A’s top prospect. He was hitting .389 with four home runs and eight doubles for the Triple-A team, less than a year since signing a pro contract, and only 72 games into his minor league career. Wilson was the sixth overall pick in last year’s MLB draft. He played three years at Grand Canyon University.
