Former Pittsburgh Penguin Defenseman Paul Martin recently wrote a goodbye letter to his former teammates and to Pittsburgh Penguin fans.
Martin’s letter was published online on a website that former baseball star Derek Jeter created. Jeter’s website allows professional athletes to have a public voice in this age of new technology.
In the letter, Martin discusses memories he has with and of his Penguin teammates, as well as his career and the challenges that he faces leaving the Pens for a new team.
The 34-year-old Martin, who has spent the last four seasons in Pittsburgh, was not resigned by the team this off-season.
His letter can be found on www.theplayerstribune.com.
