A hearing date and time has been set for a change of zoning for the former Deshon Woods property in Butler Township.
An ordinance was introduced by the Butler Township commissioners Monday night to change the current ‘Residential One’ zoning of the 21-acre property to ‘Commercial One.’
The process next moves to the Butler Township Planning Commission before returning to the township commissioners for a hearing Sept. 19 at 7 p.m.
After plans to build a new VA facility fell apart two years ago, the property was purchased for $1.2 million at a sheriff’s sale back in March.
