A former Butler resident will spend at least the next two years in prison for his role in selling drugs in the area.
43-year-old Dwayne Smallwood was sentenced to 28 months in prison for distributing fentanyl and heroin in Butler from 2017 to 2020.
Smallwood had previously been convicted in Philadelphia on drug related charges before moving to Butler in 2017. According to the Department of Justice, he was a part of a drug-trafficking crew based in Butler for three years. During that time, he was also convicted of insurance fraud and crack possession.
Smallwood will also serve six years of supervised release after his jail term.
