A former Butler man is among those who are facing federal drug charges.
According to a release from the U.S. Department of Justice, 33-year-old Mark Carter along with two other men from Philadelphia have been indicted by a federal grand jury for violating narcotics and gun laws.
The indictment alleges that Carter conspired with the other defendants to distribute crack cocaine and heroin between January and June of 2016.
Carter is facing between five and 40 years in prison if convicted as well as a possible fine of up to $5 million.
