The Butler Health System Foundation has come up with an excellent way for the public to donate meals to medical professionals at the Butler Hospital while at the same time ordering from local restaurants.
Cheryl Ramsey, the Manager of Hospitality Services at Butler Health System, told our newsroom that there are some guidelines.
To start, you need to go to sign up genius online. That link can be found on the Butler Health System’s website, Facebook page, or click the following link.
You sign up for a specific day and time in which to have the food you order be delivered to the hospital. You must be able to order enough food for a minimum of 20 people.
The food needs to be delivered to the Tower entrance. Call the front desk and then someone will come outside to get the food.
Either the restaurant can deliver the food or you can pick up the food from the restaurant and delivery it to the Butler Hospital. Either way, delivery individuals will not go inside the hospital.
No homemade items or food that needs to be refrigerated will be accepted.
On sign up genius, there is also a list of local restaurants that are known to be open at this time. If you are a local restaurant that is currently operational and would like to be added to the list, you can contact the Hospitality Services at the hospital to be part of this program. The public can choose whatever local restaurant they wish to order from.
