Health officials expect this flu season to be milder than last year’s.
And, the batch of vaccines this year is expected to work better, according to an announcement made last week by officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Flu season typically starts in the second or third week of December and peaks in the first two weeks of March.
If you are thinking about getting the flu shot this year, you’re advised to do so in October or early November since the vaccine takes about four weeks to reach maximum effects.
