The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for this afternoon.
The watch runs from 2 p.m. Friday through Saturday morning.
Officials with the NWS says that flooding could be caused by excessive rainfall. They add that excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Total rainfall amounts for Butler County could fall in between .5 to 1.5 inches of rain.
