Step outside and it doesn’t quite feel like how mid-January in western Pennsylvania should…temperatures near 60 degrees?
According to the National Weather Service, Butler County will see a high of 60 degrees Thursday. But with the mild temperatures, is rain.
Showers will continue through much of the day and early evening, with new precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible, according to the NWS.
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 10 p.m. Thursday for areas including Butler, Beaver and Lawrence counties. Forecasters say “training heavy showers and a few embedded thunderstorms may produce rainfall rate of 1 to 1.5 inches per hour for three hours.” Streams and creeks could flood.
Temperatures are expected to be back to normal on Friday with a high temperatures of 34 degrees expected.
