Another local attorney has announced plans to run for the open judge seat in the Butler County Court of Common Pleas.
Matt Fischer is a sole-practitioner attorney with 30 years legal experience. In 1998, Fischer open his own law office in Butler, and has practiced there since.
Fischer points to his extensive experience in family law and his reputation for honesty and candor as reasons why he would be a good fit for the position.
“I’ll bring experience, integrity and values to the Butler County Court,” Fischer said. “The next judge is slated to be assigned to Family Court – where I have 30 years’ experience, and a reputation for honesty and candor. It’s time to elect a family lawyer as family judge.”
Fischer is the fifth candidate to come forward in this race. Local attorneys Tom Breth, Nicole Thurner, Jennifer Gilliland Vanasdale and William “Wink” Robinson have also announced their intentions to run.
The Butler County judge seat was vacated by Judge Marilyn Horan last year when she was confirmed as a federal judge.
