The State Legislature has sent a Fiscal Code Bill to Governor Tom Wolf for approval.
The state house passed the measure by a vote of 149-45.
A fiscal code directs how newly budgeted money is dispersed. Wolf vetoed the fiscal code for the budget he allowed to become law by not signing last month.
One local lawmaker voting in favor of the fiscal code bill was republican representative from Mercer and Butler Counties Tedd Nesbit. Nesbit maintains that without a fiscal code in place, nearly $200 million in education funds will be unfairly funneled to school districts in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
