The first frost of the season could be coming this weekend.
Highs for both Saturday and Sunday will likely only hit into the mid 40s with overnight lows falling to near freezing. It’ll be the coolest air we’ve felt since April.
Drivers should watch for slick conditions on the roadways, which could catch some by surprise. And, gardeners should be prepared to cover and protect tender vegetation.
Even if the first frost doesn’t kill plants (since it may not be severe), it could still damage them.
Temperatures are expected to warm up as we move throughout next week.
