Start the New Year off on the right foot with Moraine State Park’s “First Day Hike.”
The hike continues from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday, Jan. 1 and hikers can choose between a one-to-six-mile trek.
You’re advised to park at the North Shore’s bike rental lot, dress for the weather with sturdy shoes or boots, and bring water and snacks.
