A Butler consulting firm will begin engineering work for the rehabilitation project of the Butler County Courthouse and connecting Government Center.
Gray Consulting will be paid up to $250,000. The Butler County Commissioners unanimously approved the move Wednesday.
Work will include storm water management and HVAC work on the courthouse, and the replacement of exterior panels on the Government Center- which sits behind the courthouse on West Diamond Street.
Actual construction work would likely not start until next year.
The project is expected to cost around $3.5 million.
