With the Fourth of July only a couple of days away, areas in Butler County are busy planning their own celebrations.
The Big Butler Fair begins Friday and their annual fireworks display will be held on the 4th starting at dusk at the Big Butler Fairgrounds. The fair will run through next Saturday (July 9).
The City of Butler will set off fireworks after the Butler BlueSox baseball game from Kelly Automotive Park. Those fireworks were made possible through donations from several local businesses including Pennsylvania American Water, People’s TWP, XTO Energy, EdgeMarc and NexTier Bank. The city’s financial situation has prevented them from buying fireworks in recent years.
Zelienople will be having their own July 4th Parade on Main Street starting at 11am. A fireworks display will start at dusk at the Zelienople Community Park.
