Firefighters battled hot, humid weather while trying to put out a fire in Washington Township on Sunday.
The fire started about 3:30 p.m. at a home on Fairview Road. A couple was reportedly renting the house and burning trash when the fire ignited the home’s porch and then the home itself.
No one was reportedly injured.
Dozens of firefighters from nine departments helped battle the flames while dealing with the heat.

A small electrical fire reportedly caused some problems at a funeral home in West Sunbury.
An electric line reportedly overheated about 4 p.m. Sunday, causing a power outage in the area and melting some siding at the Young Funeral Home in the borough.
There was reportedly a viewing going on at the funeral home at the time, which shifted over to a nearby church, that had air conditioning.
