Firefighters from three counties battled a Tuesday night blaze that destroyed a detached garage in Fairview Township, Butler County.
The fire started about 11 p.m. in the 2200 block of Route 68 (Chicora Road).
Firefighters were able to keep the blaze from spreading to a nearby home. No one was hurt but a pet was reportedly killed.
The cause is under investigation but thought to be a wood-burner. The homeowner reportedly used the garage as a wood shop.
