Multiple fire departments responded to the scene of a house on fire in Karns City Borough.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center at 1:30 p.m. Monday for a blaze in the 100 block of Main Street Karns City.
Crews from Petrolia, Bruin, Parker City, and Chicora were among those arriving on the scene to find heavy fire. Everyone was reportedly able to safely evacuate from the house. The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen.
Main Street in Karns City was been shut down and West Penn cut power to some of the residences in that area. The Red Cross was requested to provide shelter and clothing for three different families.
