A firefighter was struck by a vehicle in Muddy Creek Township Monday afternoon.
A call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly after 2 p.m. for a crash between a dump truck and a pickup truck on Perry Highway.
Firefighters from Portersville Muddy Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department were joined at the scene by Harmony EMS but those involved did not need medical attention.
EMS was called back to the scene a short time later after a firefighter was struck by a vehicle. That portion of Route 19 was shut down and the firefighter was transported for treatment of unknown injuries. He was released from the hospital a short time later.
The road was reopened shortly before 4 p.m.
