There is still time to get signed up for a Basic Firearms Safety Class in Saxonburg in April.
There will be a lecture, demonstration and Q&A. There will be no fire drills and do not bring your own weapon.
The class is on Saturday, April 8th on the lower level of the Saxonburg Police station on Main Street in Saxonburg.
Issues that will be discussed include safety practices, firearms laws, concealed carry vs. open carry, police interactions while armed, armed citizen responsibilities and more.
The event is free and open to the public. It will be led by Lieutenant Kevin Stiles.
