The Fire Marshal is investigating this weekend after a vacant home was damaged by fire late Friday night in New Castle.
Our news partners at KDKA say that the home on Allen Street caught fire around 11pm on Friday. The fire had spread to the second floor by the time crews arrived on scene. Crews were able to keep the fire contained, with no neighboring homes being damaged.
Authorities say that cellar doors in the back of the home were open upon their arrival. Officials are currently considering the fire suspicious.
No injuries were reported.
