A fellow legislator has filed preliminary paperwork suing Butler County resident Rep. Daryl Metcalfe.
The issue that Rep. Peter Daley, who represents Pennsylvania’s 49th district in Washington and Fayette counties, has with Rep. Metcalfe isn’t clear. A writ of summons has been filed in Butler County Court, which officially starts a lawsuit. A number of documents detailing the issue will now be required before the suit moves on.
Rep. Daley’s office did not have a comment on the suit Friday morning.
Daley was first elected to the House in 1983 and is not running for re-election.
Rep. Metcalfe has represented the 12th district (southern Butler County) since 1998.
