Fatal heroin overdoses have reached an all-time high in Butler County and surrounding areas.
According to an investigation done by KDKA-TV, Butler County had 14 fatal overdoses in 2010, 29 in 2014 and 47 last year.
Fatal overdose numbers have jumped in several surrounding counties including Allegheny County, Westmoreland and Beaver.
An Allegheny County Medical Examiner says he sees more drug overdoses than homicide, suicides and automobile accidents put together.
