State police in Mercer were called to the scene of a one car crash which left one person dead.
According to the police report, 21-year-old Nicholas Furman of Slippery Rock, PA was a passenger in the car when the crash occurred and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 20-year-old Fallon Dovidio of Mercer, PA suffered a severe head injury.
This wreck happened when Dovidio lost control of the vehicle while traveling south on route 258 in Findley Twp., Mercer County just south of Thompson Road. The Ford Escape struck an embankment, spun around and crash into a group of trees before coming to a rest on the drivers side.
