Local farmers will be celebrated this weekend during the annual Butler County Farm Tour.
This free, drive-it-yourself tour will be on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Visitors can stop by four farms in southern Butler County this year:
-Jones Turkey Farm in Cabot
-Thiele Farm in Cabot
-Har-Lo Farms on West Jefferson Road in Butler
-Asgard Acres Alpaca Farm in Renfrew
The Silver Crest Equestrian Center in Valencia was supposed to participate in this weekend’s tour but is now unable to because of extensive water damage from recent storms. Even though not a farm, the Speckled Hen chocolate company in Saxonburg, uses many local products and has been added to the tour this year.
Agriculture remains one of Butler County’s top industries.
