Today is the first day of autumn and that means leaf-peepers are getting ready for another season of fall foliage.
According to AccuWeather, it should be a pretty good year for it too. Their fall foliage preview is predicting vibrant colors for the region.
The best ingredients for peak colors are a combination of cool air along with ample summer moisture and a cooler, drier fall.
Meteorologists believe all three factors could come together this upcoming season.
Experts say we could reach peak foliage by the second or third week of October.
