There is still time to register for a delicious annual meal for a great cause to be held next week.
“We have our annual Friendship Luncheon coming up on Saturday, June 3rd at the Butler Country Club,” Julie Toth said. “The main focus is the basket raffle which all proceeds benefit our hospice patients and charitable care fund to help care for those who may not have means of insurance to cover for services.”
Marketing Rep for Home Health Julie Toth is referring to the VNA’s yearly fundraiser with doors opening at 11 a.m. and lunch at noon. The VNA operates in Butler and seven other counties in the region as an agency of Lutheran Senior Life Care Services.
According to Manager of VNA Hospice and Palliative Care Jeanette Hensler, the Friendship Luncheon allows the VNA Foundation to help patients with a variety of needs.
“It has helped tremendously throughout the years with our hospice patients who needed special items such as we had a patient at our inpatient unit who their grandchild was getting baptized and we helped put a baptism on for them.”
Tickets for the dinner are $40 per person not including tickets for the basket raffle. Those interested should call 724-282-6806 or 724-453-6014 by this Friday (5/26) to make reservations.
