Students at a local school will honor the men and women of the Armed Forces with an upcoming school assembly.
The Evans City Middle School, in the Seneca Valley School District, will host a Veterans Day Celebration on Friday Nov. 9 starting at 9:30 a.m.
The school orchestra will play an ensemble piece; JROTC cadets will Present the Colors; two student essay winners will read from their essays about the importance of Veterans; the band and chorus will perform patriotic tunes; and a Veteran will share a personal experience.
All members of the school community that have served, or are currently serving, in any branch of the service are invited to attend.
