A local mayor could soon be known as the best mayor in Pennsylvania.
Evans City Mayor Dean Zinkhann is one of four mayors in the running for the 2018 Mayor of the Year Award.
The award is presented by the Association of Mayors of the Boroughs of Pennsylvania. Mayors are nominated by fellow elected officials from within their borough in recognition for their contributions to the community.
This year’s winner will be announced at an awards luncheon on June 12 in Hershey, PA.
Zinkhann became mayor of Evans City in 2013. He’s currently in his second term after getting reelected last fall.
