A Boil Water Advisory remains in effect for all Evans City Water & Sewer Authority customers as officials wait for water tests to come back.
The first set of water tests have come back and look good however a second set also needed to be done 24 hours after the first and those results have not yet been received. If the next set of tests returns positive results as well, everything could be back to normal by Friday evening.
All water for consumption and cooking should be boiled for a minimum of one minute prior to use. A water buffalo continues to be available near the President Square apartments on Jefferson Street for residents needing fresh drinking water.
A pair of water main breaks earlier this week in Evans City prompted the advisory.
