With the hot weather now here, Butler County Emergency Services is reminding residents there are multiple locations to cool down if you don’t have access to air conditioning.
They say public buildings like libraries, malls, and grocery stores are considered cooling centers. However, the department does not set up official cooling stations.
Butler County Emergency Services urge people to stay up-to-date with their Facebook page throughout the weekend, especially if major power outages or multiple municipal requests pop up.
Attention Evans City Residents:
Due to the projected heat warnings for the next few days, the following cooling stations will be set up:
Friday, July 19, 2019:
Ritzert Hall on E. Main Street, until 5 PM
The Baptist Church (Gospel Life Church) on S. Washington Street until 4 PM
Saturday, July 20, 2019:
The Evans City Library on S. Jackson Street, 10 AM – 2 PM
