Emergency response teams were called out to help a man stuck in a Cranberry Township retention pond Tuesday afternoon.
Cranberry Township Police were notified about 2:30 p.m. that a man was standing in a pond, which sits behind the Comtra Theatre between Route 19 and Wisconsin Avenue.
The man was described as distraught and stuck in waist deep water. It is unknown why the man decided to go into the pond.
Firefighters from several nearby departments assisted a water rescue response team. It’s unclear if the man sought medical treatment after he was rescued.
