A bill that legislators say will modernize voting in Pennsylvania is now on its way to Governor Tom Wolf.
The bill passed the state House and Senate earlier this week. The bill includes the elimination of straight party ticket voting, more time to register to vote, and a gives people a new mail-in voting option.
Senator Lisa Boscola of Northampton County says this legislation is a win for voters.
“In a society where convenience is emphasized, our voting process is finally catching up,” Boscola said.
The bill did receive criticism for not having a public hearing, but Governor Tom Wolf plans to sign the bill into law.
