Edinboro has hired Justin Lustig as its new head football coach. Lustig was an assistant at Ball State last season. He played college football at Bucknell, and is a graduate of Erie Cathedral Prep. He replaces Scott Browning who was let go following a winless 2015 season.
Pitt defensive back Jordan Whitehead has been named to the Football Writers Association of America’s All-Freshman team. Whitehead was also the ACC rookie of the year, and has been recognized on six freshman All-America teams for his play in 2015.
Alabama defeated Clemson 45-40 last night to win the College Football playoff national championship. The victory was the fourth in seven seasons for the Crimson Tide. Both teams finish the season 14-1.
