Police have still not charged anyone with homicide in the New Year’s Eve murder of a man in East Butler but more details are coming out regarding two suspects in the case.
Christopher Cannon, 27, and Raheem Archer, 23, – both of Butler- were arrested last week after trying to use James Martin’s debit card. 74-year-old Martin was found dead- allegedly stabbed to death- at his Tenth Street home on Dec. 31.
Neither man has yet to be charged with homicide. Archer now faces additional drug charges after he was allegedly found at Whitestown Village Apartments in Butler Township with marijuana in his vehicle.
Cannon remains in the Butler County Prison on $30,000 bail. Archer is free after posting bail.
